- A useful weekend for sharing ideas, networking and finding out more about the NEU
- I really enjoyed the Teachmeet and would love to attend more events like it, focused either on subject or topics eg AFL, assessment and feedback, ‘hoo-ha’ plenaries etc could be an exceptionally easy way to visibly show a reduction in workload and practical suggestions for an NEU event
- General information about the history of the union and how ‘education politics’ has become what it is today – this is important for new teachers to provide an alternative philosophy to what they are exposed to in ITT
- I have thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. As the union is now for support staff/TA’s etc too, I feel some sessions aimed more at working as a TA would be beneficial. Also, more about how TA’s fit into the union. Less or shorter coffee breaks. I did enjoy the sessions I did though! More SEND sessions needed too!

- It has been a really well organised, useful and enjoyable event. As CPD is limited/non-existent in my school it is nice to be able to attend some that I can use in my everyday teaching. Are there weekends like this available to over 35’s/further career teachers? A lovely event – would definitely recommend!

- Overall, the weekend has been excellent. It was such a great opportunity to network with other primary teachers and especially to liaise with different authorities and get new ideas and just to see how things work in other places. A fabulous location in Newcastle and being able to stay at the Hilton encouraged people to socialise on an evening which has built some nice friendships. I would recommend this weekend to all types of teachers and personalities because it has something for everyone.
